Nýheimar þekkingarsetur hefur umsjón með fjarprófum háskólanema á Hornafirði.

Skráning prófstaðar

Allir háskólanemar sem hyggjast nýta sér þjónustu setursins og taka próf frá sínum skólum á Höfn eru hvattir til að skrá prófstað sinn á Höfn hjá sínum skóla, þetta er hægt að gera í Uglunni. Þetta á við fjarnema sem og staðnema og veitir staðnemum sveigjanleika til að koma fyrr heim í Hornafjörð í próftörnum fyrir jóla- og sumarfrí.

Gjaldskrá og samstarf

Setrið hefur frá 2017 haft umsjón með fjarprófum í samstarfi við háskóla landsins. Nemendur greiða hóflegt gjald vegna fjarprófa, 4.000 kr. fyrir hvert próf, þó að hámarki 16.000 kr. á önn. Í undantekningartilfellum greiðir skólinn fyrir þessa þjónustu.

Próftökugjald er samkvæmt gjaldskrá Háskólafélags Suðurlands og því sama verð fyrir alla nema á Suðurlandi. Í lok hverrar annar sendir setrið út reikninga og innheimtir gjöldin í banka til próftaka annarinnar.

Ferli og tengiliðir

Í öllum tilfellum þarf háskólinn að koma leiðbeiningum og prófum til setursins en það getur flýtt fyrir ferlinu ef nemar benda sjálfir á réttan tengilið.

Managment of Remote Exams

Nýheimar Knowledge Center oversees remote exams for university students in Hornafjörður.

Exam Location Registration

All university students who wish to use this service and take exams from their schools in Höfn are encouraged to register their exam location at Höfn with their school. This can be done through Uglan. This applies to both distance and on-site students, providing on-site students the flexibility to return home to Hornafjörður earlier during exam periods before Christmas and summer breaks.

Fees and collaboration

Since 2017, the center has managed remote exams in collaboration with the country’s universities. Students pay a modest fee for remote exams, 4,000 ISK per exam, with a maximum of 16,000 ISK per semester. In exceptional cases, the school covers this service fee.

The exam fee follows the fee schedule of the University Association of South Iceland, and thus the same rate applies to all students in South Iceland. At the end of each semester, the center issues invoices and collects the fees through the bank for that semester’s exams.

Process and Contacts

In all cases, the university must send instructions and exams to the center. The process can be expedited if students identify the correct contact person themselves.
